Islamofascists have such poor aim that they’re firing at the United States over publications in a European newspaper. Apparently US students aren’t the world leaders in failing at geography like we’ve been told.
The U.S. base was targeted because the United States “is the leader of Europe and the leading infidel in the world,” said Sher Mohammed, a 40-year-old farmer who suffered a gunshot wound while taking part in the demonstration in the city of Qalat.
“They are all the enemy of Islam. They are occupiers in our country and must be driven out,” Mohammed said.
In their bad aim they’re serving more to unite us in opposition to their madness than to provoke sympathy for their wretched cause. The whole mess really does give some perspective to our domestic politics. Some conservatives were offended, or thought the President was offended, by politicking at Coretta Scott King’s funeral, but there haven’t been any embassies torched over the “offense”. There are some people who, possibly for political reasons, are on an arson string in the south and the full powers of our law enforcement are going after them, because that’s something we don’t tolerate here. The gap between a Robert Byrd and a Bill Frist is infinitesimal compared to the difference between our civilization and the barbarism that commits random violence against uninvolved third parties over offense taken at a picture. We squabble over specifics, but there are certain shared values and one of those is that we settle things by speaking out, not by intimidating those who would speak out. Thanks to the Islamofascists for showing us our own strength and their weakness with their bad aim.
