Carly Fiorina, the only woman to head one of the Dow Jones’ 30 blue-chip companies, has been ousted as chairwoman and chief executive of Hewlett-Packard over major differences with the company’s board.
The stock gained almost 7% on the news on a day when the DOW and the tech rich NASDAQ both fell.
