Iran insisted on Sunday it would resume uranium conversion this week after rejecting EU incentives to end its nuclear fuel work, and said it was not worried about being referred to the U.N. for possible sanctions.
Why would Iran worry about being referred to the UN? What’s likely to happen? 12 years worth of resolutions and then, maybe, if the right person is in the White House the US might do something. The UN certainly won’t. By then the latest Ayatollah will be dead and since Iran does have elections of sorts the current President probably won’t be in power either. And on top of that, unlike Saddam Hussein, a lot of these Iranians actually believe that a US attack would just send them off to meet their 72 virgins. What’s for Iran’s leaders to worry about?
